Informativa sulla Privacy

La presente Informativa descrive come Epi ("Epi", "noi") raccoglie e tratta i dati personali degli utenti dell'app mobile Epi e di questo sito. Usando Epi accetti le pratiche descritte di seguito.

In breve: raccogliamo il minimo indispensabile (email e dati del tuo account), non vendiamo i tuoi dati e il file di importazione da TV Time viene elaborato sul tuo dispositivo, non caricato sui nostri server.

1. Titolare del trattamento

Il titolare del trattamento è il team di Epi. Per qualsiasi richiesta puoi scriverci a hello.epi.app@gmail.com.

2. Dati che raccogliamo

  • Dati dell'account: indirizzo email, password protetta tramite hash e nome visualizzato, per crearti un account e permetterti l'accesso.
  • Libreria e attività: le serie e i film che aggiungi, gli episodi che segni come visti, voti, emozioni e commenti che pubblichi.
  • Email raccolte prima della pubblicazione: gli indirizzi email inviati in precedenza tramite i moduli per il download APK o per ricevere l’avviso di pubblicazione su Google Play.
  • Dati tecnici: informazioni di base come tipo di dispositivo e log necessari al funzionamento e alla sicurezza del servizio.

3. Importazione da TV Time

Quando importi la tua libreria da TV Time, il file di export viene letto ed elaborato direttamente sul tuo dispositivo. Il file non viene caricato né conservato sui nostri server: memorizziamo solo la libreria risultante (titoli ed episodi visti) associata al tuo account.

4. Come usiamo i dati

  • Fornire e far funzionare l'app (account, libreria, tracciamento, valutazioni, commenti).
  • Inviare agli utenti che si erano registrati la comunicazione promessa relativa alla pubblicazione di Epi su Google Play. Questi indirizzi non vengono utilizzati per newsletter, pubblicità o spam.
  • Garantire sicurezza, prevenire abusi e migliorare il servizio.
  • Rispondere alle tue richieste di supporto.

5. Contenuti pubblici

I commenti che pubblichi sono visibili agli altri utenti di Epi insieme al tuo nome visualizzato. Non mostriamo mai la tua email agli altri utenti. Evita di inserire dati personali nei commenti.

6. Pubblicità

L'app può mostrare annunci pubblicitari tramite Google AdMob. AdMob può utilizzare identificatori del dispositivo per fornire annunci e misurarne le prestazioni. Puoi gestire le preferenze pubblicitarie dalle impostazioni del tuo dispositivo. Consulta la Privacy Policy di Google.

7. Servizi di terze parti

Utilizziamo TheTVDB per i metadati di serie e film (titoli, copertine, trame), Google AdMob per la pubblicità e Netlify per ospitare il sito e conservare le richieste inviate in precedenza tramite i moduli. Epi non è affiliata a TV Time.

8. Conservazione

Conserviamo i dati del tuo account finché l’account resta attivo. Le email raccolte prima della pubblicazione vengono conservate fino all’invio della comunicazione promessa, salvo richiesta anticipata di cancellazione; successivamente saranno eliminate entro un periodo ragionevole. Puoi eliminare il tuo account dall’app in qualsiasi momento.

9. I tuoi diritti

Hai il diritto di accedere, correggere o eliminare i tuoi dati e di revocare il consenso. Puoi eliminare l’account dall’app oppure scriverci a hello.epi.app@gmail.com per richiedere la cancellazione dell’indirizzo raccolto tramite i precedenti moduli o esercitare i tuoi diritti.

10. Minori

Epi non è destinata a minori di 13 anni. Non raccogliamo consapevolmente dati di minori di 13 anni.

11. Modifiche

Potremmo aggiornare questa Informativa. Le modifiche significative saranno indicate aggiornando la data in cima a questa pagina.

This Privacy Policy explains how Epi ("Epi", "we") collects and processes personal data of users of the Epi mobile app and this website. By using Epi you agree to the practices described below.

In short: we collect the bare minimum (your email and account data), we don't sell your data, and your TV Time import file is processed on your device — never uploaded to our servers.

1. Data controller

The data controller is the Epi team. For any request, contact us at hello.epi.app@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, password (hashed) and display name, to create your account and let you sign in.
  • Library & activity: the shows and movies you add, episodes you mark as watched, ratings, emotions and comments you post.
  • Emails collected before launch: email addresses previously submitted through the APK download or Google Play release notification forms.
  • Technical data: basic information such as device type and logs needed to run and secure the service.

3. TV Time import

When you import your library from TV Time, the export file is read and processed directly on your device. The file is never uploaded to or stored on our servers: we only store the resulting library (titles and watched episodes) linked to your account.

4. How we use data

  • Provide and operate the app (account, library, tracking, ratings, comments).
  • Send the promised Google Play release notification to users who registered before launch. These addresses are not used for newsletters, advertising or spam.
  • Ensure security, prevent abuse and improve the service.
  • Respond to your support requests.

5. Public content

Comments you post are visible to other Epi users together with your display name. We never show your email to other users. Please avoid including personal data in comments.

6. Advertising

The app may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. You can manage ad preferences in your device settings. See Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

We use TheTVDB for show and movie metadata (titles, covers, plots), Google AdMob for advertising and Netlify to host the website and retain requests previously submitted through its forms. Epi is not affiliated with TV Time.

8. Retention

We keep account data while your account remains active. Emails collected before launch are kept until the promised notification is sent, unless you request deletion sooner; afterwards they will be deleted within a reasonable period. You can delete your account from within the app at any time.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account from the app or email us at hello.epi.app@gmail.com to request deletion of an address collected through the previous forms or exercise your rights.

10. Children

Epi is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. Significant changes will be indicated by updating the date at the top of this page.
